Our History
Black People Vacation was founded by travel enthusiast and entrepreneur Bruce Powell, who has explored more than 70 countries and planned countless experiences for clients worldwide. Originally launched in 2018 as Black Travel Lounge, the brand has since grown into a trusted source for travel inspiration, planning, and education within the Black travel community. Today, Bruce leads a team of content creators and travel professionals dedicated to helping Black travelers see more of the world — comfortably, confidently, and in style.
