Colombia Travel FAQs

U.S. citizens need a valid passport to enter Colombia but do not need a tourist visa for stays of 90 days or less. Travelers should also complete Colombia’s free Check-Mig form before arrival and departure and be prepared to show proof of onward or return travel. Colombia requires the passport to remain valid for the duration of the stay, although the U.S. Department of State recommends at least six months of validity.

Entry requirements can change. Before traveling, review the latest requirements and travel information from the U.S. Department of State.

Cartagena is a year-round tropical destination, but December through April is generally the most popular period for warmer, drier weather and lower rainfall. May through November is wetter and more humid, although travelers can often find better value and fewer crowds during this period.

Yes. Additional nights and experiences can be added, and certain included experiences may be adjusted based on your interests. You can also extend your stay in either Ubud or the beach area. Please be specific about any changes or additions you’d like when completing your vacation request form so we can include them when preparing your quote.

Yes. After your $300.00 per person deposit has been paid, you may pay the remaining balance at your discretion or set up automatic payments or payment reminders based on your preference. Payments can also be separated by individual travelers, allowing roommates or travel companions to pay separately. All payment arrangements are handled after the initial deposit is received.

Yes. Airfare can be added to your vacation package. For most destinations, low-deposit airfare may be available for an additional $200.00 per person deposit. Eligibility for the low-deposit option depends on several factors, including the airline, travel dates, routing, and destination. If you’d like to add airfare, please indicate this on your vacation request form, and we’ll provide the available flight and deposit options with your quote.
